After the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S25 lineups, Samsung has now started rolling out the July 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S24 series. As expected, the brand is offering the update first in its home country, South Korea. It is 439.23MB in size and carries firmware version S92xNKSS6DZG1 (via Tarun Vats).
The July 2026 security patch addresses 57 security issues present in the previous firmware. That makes the Galaxy S24 lineup more secure. We expect Samsung to release the update in other countries over the next few days gradually. To check its availability and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Speaking of updates for the Galaxy S24 series, the phone is expected to get a major update in the next couple of months. It will bring the company’s latest Android skin, One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it provides you with additional options for customising the user interface as well as many new features.
We have made a video showing the most important changes in action, which you can check out at the end of the article. The tech giant unveiled One UI 9.0 by releasing its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. Samsung is expected to debut its stable version with its next flagship foldable phones later this month.
